Description
This four-tab gasket is intended for closures where the seal needs more positioning control than a free-floating ring can provide. Four molded tabs distribute the locating points around the gasket so the part can be aligned consistently during lid assembly.
The original design is an industrial positioning seal, but the geometry can be relevant to custom drinkware lids with clips, slots or posts around the sealing path. The silicone compound should be specified separately when the part will be used in a beverage-contact environment.
Multi-Point Alignment Around the Closure
- Four integrated positioning tabs help maintain gasket alignment.
- Tab number, angle, thickness, size and shape can be customized.
- Source sealing profiles include flat surfaces, double lips, raised beads and custom grooves.
- Silicone offers flexible compression and elastic recovery.
- Drinkware applications should specify the required material standard and leak-test criteria.
Typical Tumbler Applications
- Large custom tumbler lids
- Multi-point cap assemblies
- Non-rotating closure gaskets
- Positioned lid seals
- Custom drinkware development
What to Define Before Tooling
For a reliable quotation and mold review, the silicone part should be specified together with the mating lid or cup geometry. The most useful project inputs are:
- Seal diameter and cross-section
- Tab locations
- Clip/slot/post interaction
- Compression path
- Material and validation plan
RFQ and Sample Review
If you already have a lid drawing or an existing gasket sample, send the assembled dimensions as well as the seal groove details. We can use those inputs to review moldability and define a sample-confirmation plan before volume production.
