Description

A silicone tumbler boot protects the part of the cup that contacts tables, counters and other hard surfaces. The same molding concept can also be extended upward into a grip sleeve, creating a soft exterior zone that improves handling while reducing scratches and minor impact at the bottle base.

The source design supports sleeve, bottom-ring and full-wrap structures. For a branded tumbler program, those options make it possible to tune how much of the cup is covered without changing the stainless-steel or plastic body itself.

What to Define Before Tooling

For a reliable quotation and mold review, the silicone part should be specified together with the mating lid or cup geometry. The most useful project inputs are:

  • Cup outside diameter
  • Boot height and wall thickness
  • Bottom thickness and edge profile
  • Grip texture and surface finish
  • Logo, color and packaging requirements

RFQ and Sample Review

For sleeve projects, provide the cup outside profile rather than only a nominal capacity. A diameter stack or 3D model helps define the fit, stretch and final hand feel more accurately.
